Just because Duke does something well, doesn’t mean the rest of the country should try it, as Ohio State’s Jae'Sean Tate found out against Nebraska on Saturday.
Tate, who was defending Cornhuskers guard Tai Webster at the top of the key, slapped his hands against the floor multiple times in true Blue Devil fashion late in the game and Webster took advantage of it, dribbling right past him to the rim. Here’s the clip:
Tate then ended up having to foul Webster to keep him from scoring. Webster hit both free throws to trim Ohio State’s lead to 54–51 with 2:05 remaining. The Cornhuskers would eventually tie the game and send it to overtime, but fortunately for Tate, his Buckeyes would prevail in the extra session for a 65–62 win.
