Walking Dead fans were left on another cliffhanger after season 5, episode 3 with the mystery being who Daryl was with.
Daryl appeared at the very end of the episode, emerging from the woods and meeting Michonne between the woods and the church.
“Where’s Carol?” Michonne asked, after initially being glad to see Daryl.
“Come on out,” Daryl says. The question is who he says that to.
As many have said, it is highly unlikely that Daryl would say that to Beth or Carol.
However, there is a chance that there’s more than one person with Daryl. Perhaps Beth and/or Carol is injured and a stranger to the others--but a new friend to Daryl--is carrying them. Or something like that. Beth or Carol (likely Carol) could also have a gun on a captured person. That person could even be Morgan, since Rick, Carl, and Michonne are the only ones who have met him.
Spoilers, though, indicate that the person is Noah, who is at the hospital where Beth has ended up. As fans know, episode 4 will introduce viewers to Beth’s situation at the hospital. Noah in some way “belongs” to Dawn, the lead female cop at the hospital, according to The Spoiling Dead Fans.
Noah somehow escapes from the hospital--with Beth’s help--and ends up with Daryl. Beth tries to escape too but is stopped by some police officers. Noah is the one who comes out of the woods, and he and Daryl take the rest of the group back to the hospital to rescue Beth and Carol.
That rescue is said to take place in the midseason finale, which some spoilers indicate also includes the death of Beth.
The fan page, which has pretty reliable spoilers, says that the timeline is like this--episodes 3, 4, and 5 (or 6) take place at once. In other words, Daryl leading Noah back to the church actually happens after the events in at least three episodes.

During that time, Noah escapes from the hospital while Daryl and Carol are somehow separated while Carol gets hit by a car in downtown Atlanta and gets taken to the hospital, where Beth sees her.
Meanwhile, show and comics creator Robert Kirkman told IGN that season 5 is following the comics closer than any other season.
“There’s more comic book moments being adapted than there have been in any previous season, so there’s a lot of cool stuff for the comic fans coming up and a lot of stuff they will recognize, but of course we'll be doing some stuff in different ways. . . There are a lot of cool key moments that come directly from the comics,” he said.
Those who have read the comics know that one of those moments has already happened--the “tainted meat” scene with Bob. Father Gabriel’s situation is also very similar to the character in the comics.
Kirkman also said that the big change in season 5 is that the characters have a goal.
“The biggest thing for Season 5 is that the story completely changes. . . There’s a mission to this season -- this mission of getting to Washington and if there’s a cure there and if there’s infrastructure there and security there. What is it that is actually in Washington?” Kirkman said.
“I think that having our characters suddenly be driven with a goal that they can actually accomplish is changing how we tell stories in a big way. The episodes of this season are going to feel a bit different than how the show’s felt before.”
