Vikings season 2 is close to wrapping up with just two episodes left.
Episode 9 is set to air on April 24 and will include “an unforgettable war,” according to the History Channel (one preview clip).
That war appears to be set up in part by Horik killing Ecbert’s men behind the earl’s back.
“King Horik, your behavior has made it very difficult to talk peace or negotiate with King Ecbert,” Ragnar says to his ally.
“You seem to forget—I am king,” Horik replies.
“We must do battle with Ragnar Lothbrok and his allies,” Ecbert says in one of the preview clips released.
Meanwhile, Horik’s talk with Floki raises some questions in another clip.
“Bjorn reminds me of Odin’s favorite son,” King Horik says to Flok.
“Nothing could injure Odin’s favorite son,” Floki responds.
Some are speculating that Horik will kill Bjorn.
Fans are also hoping that Lagertha makes it through the battle unscathed, as she is perhaps the most popular female character in the show.
Meanwhile, no spoilers appear to have leaked yet in regards to the final.
Vikings has already been renewed for a season 3 due to its popularity.
