Drones are becoming increasingly common on the battlefield, and accordingly, a number of weapons designed to destroy them have emerged, from lasers that incinerate them to jamming devices that disable their flight capability.
But sometimes, a drone can carry valuable information that the enemy might want to keep intact. As a result, anti-drone weapons that can capture the drone are in demand, which is why the Pentagon wants to create a drone made out of special material so that it can literally “vanish” into thin air.
A new gas-powered anti-drone projectile by Skywall captures the drone with a net that shoots out like a missile.
