Originally recorded by Lead Captain Cy Williams of Strike Zone Sportfishing—a fishing charter company—the above video has garnered 1 million views and over 18,000 shares since a Washington King 5 new uploaded it to their official Facebook page on May 3.
Another angle of the May 2 wildlife sighting was recorded by Candance Barnes, a tourist who happened to be strolling along the marina when the whale surfaced.
Barnes told King 5 it was the most amazing thing she had seen in person and it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
