This incredible portrait was made from one everyday item. Kitchen salt.

Dino Tomic—who also goes by Atomic circuS—is an artist works with a variety of mediums and forms. On his Deviant Art page, you can see anything from strikingly realistic portraits to hyper stylized interpretations of popular culture icons.

Depicted is Daenerys Targaryen, a fictional character from HBO'S “Game of Thrones.”

Currently living in Norway, the Croatian artist was inspired to depict the Mother of Dragons for the upcoming premier of the show’s sixth season. The record-breaking TV show is an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire“ novels.

“The internet will be flooded with fan made artwork (like every year), so let me be one of the first once this year,” said the artist.

On working with salt, the artist said that it is a fun medium to work with. “It really resembles airbrushing,” said Tomic on his social media profiles. “So it was really not that hard to get into the salt. After I crafted a few tools to help me distribute [the] salt, things where way easier to work with.”

This is Tomic’s first ever kitchen salt portrait. He previously only created two mandalas with salt. A video of one’s creation can be viewed below.
