Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence have both tested negative for COVID-19 following President Donald Trump's positive test, a Pence spokesman said Friday.
"As has been routine for months, Vice President Pence is tested for COVID-19 every day. This morning, Vice President Pence and the Second Lady tested negative for COVID-19," Devin O’Malley said in a statement.
"Vice President Pence remains in good health and wishes the Trumps well in their recovery," he added.
Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and White House aide Hope Hicks all tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
The vast majority of patients recover through rest at home or treatment at hospitals.
The Trumps are isolating at the White House.
"Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering," he added.
Pence took to Twitter early Friday morning to say he and his wife "send our love and prayers to our dear friends President @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS Melania Trump."
"We join millions across America praying for their full and swift recovery," he added. "God bless you President Trump & our wonderful First Lady Melania."
