The Vampire Diaries season 6 premiere is about two months away, and new spoilers have come out.
Season 6 is set to premiere on Thursday, October 2 at 8 p.m. EDT.
The premiere opens after a big time jump with Bonnie and Damon still gone--their whereabouts will be revealed quickly, the question of what happened while they were there will be a season-long arc, according to TVGuide.
Elena will be grieving over losing Damon by “making some surprising choices” and bonding with Stefan and Alaric.
Elena will be trying to pull through, executive producer Julie Plec previously told TVLine.
“She’s trying, and I won’t necessarily say she’s succeeding. She’s got some complicated coping mechanisms that are making her be things and do things and act in ways that we wouldn’t normally expect from her.”
As previously reported, Alaric will have a new love interest.
New faces have been confirmed, including a militia leader (Colin Ferguson) and a tough doctor at the university hospital (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe).
Meanwhile, Matt will be thriving as he gets involved in the new magic-less community, while Tyler will return to his old personality, and may reconnect with Caroline, who takes the loss of Bonnie and Damon the hardest out of anyone.
