University of New Mexico Hospital Helicopter Crash: Top Floor of UNMH Evacuated

A helicopter crash landed on the roof of the University of New Mexico on Wednesday night, prompting the evacuation of the top floor.

The crash, which happened just before 6 p.m., happened after the copter tried to lift off.

A witness told KOAT that he saw a lot of flames and smoke after the crash.

There were three people on board, reported KRQE.

The condition of those people is unclear as of yet.
