Track severe storms: Top applications to stay posted to the latest weather.

With all the severe storms recently--including the recent tornadoes and wildfires--it’s important to be able to stay up to date with the weather.

Jason Parker at Cnet has compiled a list of the best radar weather apps for tracking current storms on mobile phones. Here are two of them:

-RadarNow, free for five days, $2.99 a year

This app lets users get a loop of the latest radar data and the ability to zoom in. “It’s not the best in this collection, but if you’re looking for something to grab right away to track weather, it’s free initially and will do the job,” says Parker.

-RadarScope, $9.99

This app is advanced that lets the user see radar data in higher resolution and receive up-to-the-minute radar data updates.

There’s indicators on-screen to let the user know more about any storm coming through, including color codes for tornadoes, severe thunderstorm warnings, and other conditions.
