President Donald Trump has done a pretty good job of fulfilling his commitments made during the 2016 campaign. Apparently, he is still convinced that meeting one of those commitments must be continued: “draining the Swamp.”
We must recognize that the Swamp is huge, decades-old, full of nefarious creatures—politicians and surrounding leeches (lobbyists, lawyers, seekers-of-the-coin). There are millions of them; they are dangerous, non-productive drags on the well-being of the U.S. It’s unfortunate that they were allowed to multiply during the last several decades.
