If this cop wasn’t paying attention, he'd be in big trouble.
In Northern Minnesota this week, a sheriff’s deputy was speaking to a driver he had pulled over, and a SUV came within inches of hitting both of them.
The driver appeared to have lost control of the SUV.
The deputy can be seen running from the car as it slides and turns at around a 45 degree angle.
The unnamed cop said that the warning strips around the edge of the road likely saved his life.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, KSTP reported.
The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook that when you “see flashing lights, please slow down and if traffic allows, move a lane over.”
“Not only as a courtesy, but for safety...and it’s the law,” the office stated.
