The Shmoney Dance, popularized by New York rapper Bobby Shmurda, is officially dead, according to Twitter users on Thursday.

Users were tweeting “RIP” after a video of the U.S. Junior Ryder Cup team did the dance before it went viral.

As Deadspin notes, “Let’s start with this: what you see above is not the Shmoney Dance. It’s not even a dance, really; it looks more like the dancing equivalent of a new violinist’s music if all they had to go off of for proper technique was a single viewing of grainy concert film. For convenience sake, we'll have to come up with a new name for whatever that thing is.”

But no matter what, users said the dance craze is over now.

“RIP Shmoney Dance is trending. Is the Shmoney era over already?” one person said.

“RIP Shmoney Dance, to think you were just alive bout a week ago!” added another.

Wrote another: “RIP shmoney dance, twerking, and all the other things that fell into melanin-deficient hands.”

“RIP Shmoney Dance smfh. It was a good run tho,” added another.
