Don’t you just love watching people bake and cook? There’s something so relaxing about the process of food being produced, especially if you don’t know how it’s made. And if you haven’t had much contact with Turkish culture, you may not have heard a dessert food called “baklava” before.

Baklava is one of the most popular traditional Turkish dessert street foods and is delicious. It’s a dessert made from phyllo dough (otherwise known as filo pastry) separated with melted butter and vegetable oil, filled with chopped nuts such as pistachios (as in this video), and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey.
