Cheatham County and Montgomery County schools were placed on lockdown on Thursday morning amid reports of threatening e-mails.
Police at schools are investigation, reported NewsChannel-5. They said that it was triggered by a general e-mail threat.
Stan Curtis, the Cheatham County director of schools, told the station that a series of e-mail threats caused the lockdown.
No school was specifically mentioned by name.
Police were called out to each school, reported WKRN.
An employee at the Clarksville Police Department received a threatening e-mail in their account, the station reported.
