You may remember our look into the world of virtual network operators, which can offer a great alternative to the main networks. MVNO’s, as they are known, use one of the original “big four” for connectivity but the pricing, plans, services and branding are all very different.

Tesco Mobile, giffgaff, Virgin Mobile etc – they’re all MVNO’s and we also covered TalkTalk during our MVNO feature too.

Now TalkTalk have announced that they’re switching from Vodafone to O2, joining the likes of giffgaff, Lycamobile and Tesco Mobile who also use O2 as the parent host.

TalkTalk have some 350,000 customers and the switch will provide access to the O2 4G network. TalkTalk are looking to push the mobile proposition to their existing home and business broadband customers, alongside their other home phone and TV services.
