Filming of the wildly popular Fox drama 24 has been temporarily suspended so the show’s lead actor and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland can undergo surgery. Details of the actor’s condition have not been released.
20th Century Fox Television issued the following statement, “We are temporarily suspending production of 24 while our friend and colleague, Kiefer Sutherland, undergoes a medical procedure. We hope to resume production shortly and do not anticipate any disruption in the broadcast of this season’s episodes.”
