Susan Boyle can’t sing for the Tuesday episode of Dancing With the Stars due to a throat infection, so recently-booted contestant Michael Bolton will take her spot.
Boyle’s representatives said that she is at her home in Scotland and won’t be able to make her scheduled appearance. She was set to perform Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”
“Her doctor advised her not to sing due to a severe throat infection,” Boyle’s rep said in a statement, according to the New York Daily News. “Susan is very upset at letting her fans down. Their continued support means so much to her.”
Bolton, 57, will appear on the show instead, after getting booted off the show last week. He will appear alongside Ne-Yo in a musical performance.
