The bond remains strong between Mr. Sheffield and Fran Fine of “The Nanny,” as seen in reunion photos from a celebration last weekend.
Fran Drescher, who played Fran Fine, was still very recognizable as the nanny she played for the children of Mr. Sheffield, played by Charles Shaughnessy. The two cozied up to each other, reminiscent to the days on the ‘90s sitcom.
The actor and actress met up with for an impromptu birthday celebration for cast mate, Renée Taylor (who played Fran’s mother, Sylvia Fine). Taylor was celebrating her 83rd birthday.
The sitcom ran for six seasons from 1994 to 1999.
With all the rebooting of old ‘90s television shows, Drescher’s distinctive voice will perhaps beam through the airways once again as Fran Fine.
Until then, walk down memory lane with the photos of the birthday celebration here.
