Supernatural is set to wrap up season 9 on Tuesday, May 20.

Episode 23 of the season, titled “Do You Believe in Miracles,” will start at 9 p.m. EDT.

The CW labels the season finale as “shocking.”

Its description says that Dean feels the effects of the First Blade, and Metatron makes his move against humanity.

Meanwhile, Sam, Dean and Castiel face shocking consequences when taking the fight to Metatron.

The finale will also feature a possible make up scene between Dean and Sam, according to Jensen Ackles, who plays Dean.

“I will tease the fact that yes, there is a bit of a resolution there and a bit of a regrouping so to speak,” he told E! News. “But it doesn’t last long.”

Ackles also said that Dean “will get darker than we have seen him,” and that he was surprised by what happens in the finale.

“I know what my reaction was when I got to the end of the page and my mouth was open,” he said. “I will say that this cliffhanger surprised me more than most.”

Jared Padalecki (Sam) agreed, saying “true to Supernatural form, we go to the extreme.”

“I mean we’re 195 episodes in, we have to do something kind of big time. So we do. There will be a big audience reaction.”

Due to its continued popularity, Supernatural has already been renewed for a season 10.
