“Breaking Bad ” actor Jesse Plemons is likely not going to be involved with Star Wars Episode VII because of a new role he’s just taken.
Plemons is in talks to join Black Mass, a Whitey Bulger biopic starring Johnny Depp, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Plemons is set to play a blue-collar tough guy who is a close friend of Bulger’s.
The film is going to start filming in early May in Boston.
Likewise, Episode VII is set to begin filmin in May, in London and Morocco.
Plemons had been rumored to be in the mix for one of the three new starring roles in Star Wars.
Sources said that Plemons did have a meeting about joining the series of films but nothing happened after that.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that he’s not involved.
“I don’t think anyone is out when it comes to Star Wars. An actor will clear their schedule to be part of this and any deal won’t take long to make,” said one source.
