The announcement of Benedict Cumberbatch getting engaged took many by surprise and became a hot topic, but Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner got caught up with the news because some people confused her for Cumberbatch’s new fiancee.

The fiancee’s name is Sophie Hunter, who is a theatre and opera director as well as an actress.

However, some people got confused and started congratulating Turner--known for playing Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones--believing that she was the one who got engaged to Cumberbatch.

“Congratulations to Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Turner on their engagement! That’s so exciting! #BenedictAndSophie,” said one.

“My condolences to Sophie Turner for thinking Benedict Cumberbatch has any redeeming qualities whatsoever,” said another.

Turner took to Twitter herself to clarify that she’s not marrying the Sherlock star.

“Thanks to everyone who is congratulating me but its another Sophie who is marrying Benedict Cumberbatch. Nice one guys haha,” she said.
