Simeon Adams, 16, allegedly shot newlywed Nathan Trapuzzano while robbing the 24-year-old software engineer.

Adams and accomplice Martez “Duh-Duh” McGraw targeted Trapuzzano when the engineer was out for a walk around 5 a.m.

Adams, known as Red, allegedly confessed to a freind that he shot Trapuzzano once in the stomach.

Adams’ friend Marvell Robinson told detectives he was woken up by the alleged shooter on the morning of April 1 at his home in Indianapolis. Adams told him: ‘Man the police is out here and they are looking for me,’” reported the Daily Mail.

Robinson told detectives Adams made Nathan strip, according to the court papers. “‘When he told Nathan to take his pants off the victim started reaching for his shoes and Simeon asked him (Nathan) ’Why you reaching for your shoes?.‘ Simeon said the ’white man tried to tussle with me so I shot him.'”

Adams is also accused of shooting another man outside Baba’s Steak and Lemonade eatery two nights before the attack.

Adams has a criminal history that has included him being in handcuffs on and off since 2007, reported ABC6.

Adams faces charges of murder, felony murder, attempted robbery and carrying a handgun without a license in connection to the killing of Trapuzzano. He will be tried as an adult.

Friends and family of Trapuzzano set up a crowdfunding account for funeral and other expenses which has received over $150,000 so far.

Ivy Tech, where he taught, also said that it would grant a full two-year scholarship to his unborn daughter.
