PITTSBURGH—The mayor of Pittsburgh and the governor of Pennsylvania issued proclamations welcoming internationally renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts to the region.
“Pennsylvania has a rich and vibrant artistic community and I am confident that Shen Yun’s performances will serve as an inspiration to all those in attendance,” said Governor Tom Corbett in his proclamation.
New York-based Shen Yun traverses the globe with one mission—to revive the 5,000-year-old, divinely-inspired Chinese culture.
“Through the universal language of music and dance, Shen Yun weaves a wondrous tapestry of heavenly realms, ancient legends, and heroic modern-day epics,” states the company’s website. “Shen Yun presents themes of compassion and courage with stunning beauty and tremendous energy, leaving audiences uplifted and inspired.”
