SYDNEY—The world-renowned Shen Yun Performing Arts company has arrived in Sydney just in time for Chinese New Year celebrations, offering its own distinctive extravaganza of classical Chinese dance, vibrant narrative and song.

On the back of performances in Brisbane and New Zealand, the Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company, one of three Shen Yun companies touring the world, flew into Sydney on Sunday in preparation for three performances at the Capitol Theatre on Monday and Tuesday.

State and Federal Members of Parliament extended their greetings to the New York-based group.

“The Shen Yun group has received international recognition for its depiction of Chinese heritage through the ages and its performances bring to life the rich diversity and colour of the Chinese culture,” said Tony Issa, New South Wales State Member for Granville.
