KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—Attorney Mr. David Case and his wife, Mrs. Stella Case celebrated Valentine’s a day early with the Shen Yun International Company on Feb. 13 at Tennessee Theater. The couple had been seeing Shen Yun ads, and “finally decided to come for Valentine’s,” according to Mrs. Case.
The artists are “very talented people,” she said. Mrs. Case started and owned an import company specializing in folk art from Latin America.
She said the performance was gorgeous.
Her hope is that they will come back next year. Shen Yun was visiting Knoxville for the first time in 2013.
Mr. Case was equally pleased with the experience. He said Shen Yun is “beautiful, very interesting, very colorful.”
The Shen Yun Orchestra pleased him. It is not common for a group of dancers to travel with a full orchestra. The orchestra is a full Western philharmonic orchestra with traditional Chinese instruments.
“Especially love that they have live musicians and not recorded music,” Mr. Case said.
He would like to congratulate the artists on their skill. It’s “obvious that there are many hours of training and practice that they put in. It really shows,” Mr. Case said.
New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts has three touring companies that perform simultaneously around the world. Shen Yun will give four shows in Nashville from Feb. 15-17. For more information, visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
