HOUSTON—Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company’s revival of 5,000 years of Chinese civilization touched the audience at Jones Hall on Dec. 26, with its second to last performance in Houston.

“It’s beautiful. We like this, we enjoy it very much,” said Mrs. Clarice Kiezer, who runs a tanning salon with her daughter Mrs. Ashley Rains.

“Wonderful, absolutely wonderful,” Mrs. Rains said. “And surprising—I liked it a lot, everything is different, new, pretty.”

Mrs. Kiezer added that she loved the different props the female dancers used, such as the “water sleeves” and colorful fans, and was impressed with everything.

“Everything, the music, the dance, how they put it all together,” Mrs. Kiezer said. “We enjoyed them, the stories were good, the stories had meaning.”
