Schools To Open Thursday, Says Bloomberg

Mayor Bloomberg said kids will have to return to class on Thursday.

After a blizzard-like storm hit New York City forcing officials to close public schools, Mayor Bloomberg said kids will have to return to class on Thursday. Several more inches of snow are predicted on Thursday. The city has around a million schoolchildren within its district. In the past eight years, Bloomberg said there have only been three snow days. In his address, Bloomberg said city employees will work overtime to keep streets clear of snow.
