Scandal season 3 continues on Thursday night with episode 17, the second-to-last episode in the season.
The official description says that a security breach calls for an all hands on deck situation at OPA.
One teaser promo from the episode shows the bomb apparently planted at a venue at which Fitz is giving a speech.
But Fitz does not get killed or injured from the bomb, because photos from the season finale show him in good condition as on Election Day.
Also in episode 17, Fitz’s re-election campaign becomes stalled and he considers going against Olivia’s advice.
Meanwhile, Adnan and Maya continue to plot their next move.
There’s no telling yet if the bomb gets found or if it just doesn’t go off for some reason.
However, Darby Stanchfield (Abby) told two different outlets that the season finale would be explosive.
“The finale explodes into a million different pieces,” Stanchfield told TVLine.
“This set of characters, especially over at Olivia Pope & Associates, are more splintered off from each other than ever before. I mean, when we were shooting the episode, I actually thought to myself, ‘I wonder if they’re actually going to tear down the set and build a new one?’ It’s that extreme.”
