A tanker truck caught on fire on the 60 Freeway near Hacienda Heights, California, shutting down all lanes.
ABC-7 reported that the big rig caught on fire at 2:50 p.m.
Officials said the truck was filled with hydrogen.
All lanes were shut down as a result.
KTLA reported that the entire cab of the truck was destroyed in the fire.
“This is a very dynamic situation. We are playing a safety-by-the-numbers game,” Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Miller told the station. “We’re not going to have our personnel attack this thing head on. It’s something we have to be cautious with.”
