Robel Phillipos, the a third college friend of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, was charged with lying to investigators, the Boston Globe reported Thursday.

The lawyers for Phillipos had been trying to prevent the 19-year-old Dartmouth student from getting indicted for the past few months, the paper said.

The Globe, via its Twitter account, said that Phillipos was indicted for lying to investigators in the aftermath of the bombing.

His two other friends, Dias Kadyrbayev And Azamat Tazhayakov, were charged this month with helping to destroy evidence in the Tsarnaev case.

The two men, both aged 19, were charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice, and aiding and abetting for their role, reported The Associated Press. They allegedly got fireworks, Tsarnaev’s laptop, and a backpack.

Story is developing; check back for details.
