The Rob Ford bobblehead doll sold out quickly this week as throngs of people lined up to buy a bobblehead and get it signed by the embattled mayor of Toronto.

The surprising event on Tuesday morning led to hundreds of people lining up at Toronto’s City Hall to buy a bobblehead for $20.

Proceeds from the sale were going to United Way, a charity.

Since the dolls sold out so quickly, at least half a dozen have been posted on eBay, an auction website, selling for prices ranging from $200 to $365.

*RARE* TORONTO MAYOR - ROB FORD “OFFICIAL” BOBBLEHEAD, reads one listing, which is at $305 and has 54 bids.

Autographed Rob Ford Bobblehead “Robbie Bobbie” 299/1000 with PROOF + BONUS!, reads another, at $365 with 17 bids.

People had different motivations for waiting in line for hours originally to get a bobblehead.

Colby Bayne, a Royal LePage real estate agent, told the National Post that he didn’t vote for Ford and is not a supporter but he figured he'd get a momento.

Doug Ford, Rob’s brother, was on hand.

“It speaks volumes by the amount of people that are downstairs (lining up),” he said. “I don’t think there’s a politician in the country including the prime minister that could have bobblehead dolls and have them line up around the corner.”

Rob Ford has been under intense scrutiny since a video emerged recently that purportedly shows him smoking crack, and another one that emerged soon after showed him threatening to kill somebody.
