Over 1000 Shanghai residents gathered in front of the city government office, on June 13, to file complaints to the authorities for the various injustices that they have suffered, an insider source told The Epoch Times.

The building, which is located at 200 People’s Road, has become a well-known attraction for Shanghai residents who frequently show up to petition their cases. Through a series of submitted photos from the insider source, The Epoch Times was able to learn about several petitioners’ stories.

One petitioner was a former worker at the Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group. He lost his leg while at work, but the company refused to give him compensation for his prosthetic leg.
