After Donald Trump was elected president, his residence at the Trump Tower in Manhattan has become a national security site.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued flight restrictions over New York City to prevent any potential terrorist attacks, according to New York Magazine.
The FAA sent out an administrative directive called a “Notice to Airmen,” which bans pilots from flying within two nautical miles from the area around the Trump Tower, located at at 40º45‘54“ north, 73º58’25” west, according to the publication.
The ban was effected on Election Day—but since Trump took the presidency, it’s been extended to Inauguration Day, which is Jan. 20. Following that, Trump will be protected via a zone around 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, the White House.
