Reese Witherspoon “Too Old:” Stevie Nicks, of rock band Fleetwood Mac, told ET Canada that Reese Witherspoon might be too old to play her in a movie.

“I’ve already told her she’s almost too old,” said Nicks, 64.

A biopic of Fleetwood Mac or Nicks herself is only a concept, but Nicks had tabbed Witherspoon as her top choice if one does happen. Now she’s having second thoughts.

“I love her, but she’s like, ‘I could play your mother,’” said Nicks, recounting the conversation. “I’m like ‘okay.’”

Witherspoon won an Oscar, Golden Globe and SAG Award for her portrayal of singer June Carter, Johnny Cash’s wife, in the 2005 drama “Walk the Line.” The 37-year old actress has also starred in “Water for Elephants,” “Legally Blonde,” and “Pleasantville,” among a host of other films.

Nicks made the comments at the Toronto red carpet event for her new film, “In Your Dreams,” a documentary chronicling her first solo album in 10 years.
