Red State Democrats Who Voted for Gorsuch Show No Opposition to Kavanaugh

Three Senate Democrats who voted to confirm Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch last year issued measured statements on July 9 showing no opposition to President Donald Trump’s second nominee to the Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Trump announced Kavanaugh’s nomination at the White House on July 9. Republicans have a razor-thin majority in the Senate and aim to confirm the conservative judge before midterm elections in November.
