John Pavlovitz, a man who describes himself as “one father to another,” wrote a now-viral letter to the father of Brock Turner, the former Stanford University student convicted of sexually assaulting an unconscious woman.

Turner, 20, was found guilty by a jury earlier this year and was sentenced to six months in jail. The unnamed victim of the crime penned a letter, which was posted online by Buzzfeed.

Before Turner was sentenced, his father, Dan Turner, wrote a letter to the judge pleading for a lighter punishment for his son.
