Raising Hope on Fox has been canceled and won’t make it to a season 5.
But the show executives have prepared a special one-hour season 4 finale/series finale that’s set to air on April 4 starting at 9 p.m.
In it, Jimmy and Sabrina get a surprise when they learn that Sabrina’s late grandmother has left them the family maid (guest star Lesley Nicol), who has a lifetime contract with the family.
Meanwhile, Virginia gets a promotion at work that allows Burt to retire and pursue his passion - even if he doesn’t know what his passion is. Then, Virginia’s father, Arnold (guest star Jeffrey Tambor), returns to Natesville seeking help in planning his upcoming wedding.
But Arnold surprises everyone when he reveals that the wedding Virginia has planned is really for her and Burt--the dream wedding they never got to have as teen parents.
“On behalf of myself, Greg Garcia and Raising Hope’s amazing cast and crew, I would like to thank our audience for tuning in and supporting us over the last four seasons,” said executive producer Mike Mariano in a statement.
“We planned our Season Four finale with this possibility in mind, and hope our loyal fans enjoy the way we’ve chosen to say goodbye to the Chances and to Natesville. Thanks again, and we'll see you in syndication.”
