[xtypo_dropcap]S[/xtypo_dropcap]even Atlanta Falcons and six New England Patriots were among the players named to the 2011 Pro Bowl roster, the National Football League announced on Tuesday. [To see the complete rosters, scroll down below.]
The 12-3 Falcons and the 13-2 Patriots, leaders in their respective divisions, were rewarded by votes from NFL coaches, players, and fans with the most Pro Bowl selections out of all NFL teams.
The Falcons going to the Pro Bowl include quarterback Matt Ryan, running back Michael Turner, wideout Roddy White, and tight end Tony Gonzalez.
Quarterback and MVP frontrunner Tom Brady will headline the Patriots’ choices to the AFC team, and will be joined by the likes of guard Logan Mankins and defensive lineman Vince Wilfork.
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will start for the NFC, while Brady will lead the AFC.
Just trailing the Patriots and Falcons in players picked were the Cowboys, Packers, and Ravens, who each had five players selected to the Pro Bowl.
The Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Buffalo Bills are teams that will not be represented at the 2011 Pro Bowl.
The Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. EST in Honolulu.
