Apple lovers are able to pre order the new multi-touch screen wireless internet viewing device online for advanced shipping or reservation at local Apple stores.

The online Apple store received so many hits from devoted customers pre-ordering the company’s newest device that their site went down temporarily Friday morning. Twitter lit up as potential customers expressed their worry about the loss of connection to site. Many customers feared that they would not be able to secure an order before the release date that could most likely cause the device to be sold out for a short period of time.

The entry list price for the iPad is $499 dollars and the new model is creating quite the stir. The industry standard for portable handheld touch screen devices has been single location touch capability but Apple is once again raising the bar and unveiling their multi touch technology.

The iPad has the latest version of Safari that is running HTML 5 compatible web video and audio applications. It weighs only 1.5 pounds, has Yahoo and Google searching options, as well as a large on screen touch keyboard. The Ipad also utilizes portrait and landscape viewing for their Safari web browser that can be used with 802.1 Wi-Fi.

The $499 version holds a 16 GB memory while the 32 GB is $599 and the 64 GB is $699. To upgrade to the 3G worldwide wireless application is an additional $130 for each model.
