WARWICK—Rows of vendors lining multiple streets in crisscrossing lines filled downtown Warwick with kettle corn, jerk chicken, pizza, zeppoles, handmade jewelry, homemade crafts, buffalo wing sauce, and more. Amid the vendors, soloists and groups performed music. Greyhound Friends of New Jersey showed off lanky dogs, and boy scouts raised funds by selling bags of popcorn. Festival attendees also walked along train tracks that intersected the main area. According to the Applefest website, 30,000 people attend each year. The festival benefits the Warwick Chamber of Commerce along with about 50 local nonprofit organizations that use the event as their largest annual fundraiser.
