Pennsylvania Poll Watcher: ‘Giuliani Is Doing the Right Thing’

WASHINGTON—Richard Morholt, a poll watcher in Pike County, Pennsylvania, said he saw paper ballots being used and signatures being verified, and he didn’t see any irregularities himself, though he objected to the deadlines being extended.

But he was appalled to learn that other counties used machines that were even connected to the internet.

“Not acceptable in the United States,” he said at a rally in Washington.

Tens of thousands gathered to join marches and rallies in Washington on Dec. 12, petitioning the government for fair elections and transparent counting. Similar grassroots protests took place every Saturday since the general election in capitals across the 50 states.

Morholt did not expect the Supreme Court to hear Texas’s case challenging the election against four other states, so he was not disappointed by Friday’s decision, and said that the cases brought by Rudy Giuliani should be heard by the highest court.

“Giuliani is doing the right thing. He’s going to each legislature in the states of question and presenting the acceptable evidence that stands up to the standards of our laws,” Morholt said. “And when he did that, he’s proving to the legislators that’s it’s their power, as provided in the constitution to have a say in the way the election should be conducted.”
