The nominations for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2017 have been announced.
The Oct. 18 announcement revealed 19 potential inductees and among next year’s class, nine of them—Electric Light Orchestra, rapper Tupac Shakur, Journey, Jane’s Addiction, Bad Brains, Pearl Jam, Steppenwolf, Depeche Mode, and Joan Baez—are first-time nominees.
Other nominees include American rock band The Cars, German electronic pop music band Kraftwerk, English rock band Yes, and R&B musicians Chaka Khan and Janet Jackson.
