A bear was wandering around in Pasadena, California, near the Rose Bowl, on Thursday.
The bear got dangerously close to the 210 freeway at one point before it ran away.

“Bear does NOT have a dart in it. Wardens will stay on scene until it’s safe in wilderness or action is necessary,” said the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
“Bear is in the channel and safe for now. Hopefully making its way back to open space. fluid situation,” it said. “Dart gun and other non-lethal methods ready to use if necessary.”
Two wardens were on the scene, with more on the way. Safety of the bear, public, and officers are first priority, the department said.
Police urged nearby residents to stay indoors.
On Twitter, locals reacted to the bear.
