Funnel clouds have been reported in Palm Beach, Florida on Monday afternoon and could potentially turn into tornadoes.

The National Weather Service issued a significant weather advisory at 3:02 p.m. EDT for western Palm Beach County, for gusty winds of 45 to 55 miles per hour and the development of funnel clouds, until 3:30 p.m.

A strong thunderstorm was detected moving west from 8 miles southeast of Belle Glade at 15 miles per hour.

“Funnel clouds occasionally touch down and produce tornadoes,” said the service. “Move indoors and stay away from windows.”
