Police are searching for a 20-year-old Ohio woman who went missing on July 19 while riding her bike.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s office is now asking the public for help after Sierah Joughin was out riding with her boyfriend on Tuesday night in Metamora, Ohio.
She was seen wearing shorts and a neon yellow tank top and was riding a purple bicycle.
Joughin, a University of Toledo student, is 5'5” and weighs 130 pounds. Her hair is brown-black and her eyes are brown.
A $25,000 reward is being offered for information about her whereabouts.
According to NBC News, Joughin and her boyfriend parted ways at 6:45 p.m. local time near Evergreen High School in Metamora, Ohio. The bicycle was discovered in a cornfield not far from where she was seen, Fulton County Sheriff Roy Miller said.
He said there were signs of a struggle. The corn around the bike had been trampled, Miller told the Toledo Blade.
Volunteers are now trying to carry out a search for Joughin, adding that the search area was expanded to four square-miles. “There are many organizations that are working around the clock to help in this case,” the police department said in a statement.
Joughin’s aunt, Carrie Joughin, told the Blade that she’s not sure why her niece disappeared. “That’s what is hurtful,” she said. “You want one good solid answer.”
Her uncle, Howard Ice, said the disappearance is not like her. “She’s a very stable person,” Ice said.
