President Barack Obama on Monday was photographed making a sandwich at Martha’s Table, a nonprofit organization in Washington, D.C.

Obama was shown looking down while he was holding a piece of bread, wearing a Martha’s Table apron.

The Associated Press reporter Josh Lederman captured the image and posted it on his Twitter.

Workers at the nonprofit were seen gathering around him.

The president reportedly talked about the government shutdown and potential default.

He will meet with Congressional leaders later on Monday to resolve the political stalemate that has lasted nearly two weeks.

“We will not pay a ransom for Congress reopening the government and raising the debt limit,” said the White House in a statement obtained by The Associated Press.
