NEW YORK—The Epoch Times asked New Yorkers what event they don’t want to miss this summer.
Brian Ach, about 40, photojournalist, Ridgewood, Queens
The Tribeca Film Festival is what I’m looking forward to. It’s half work and half fun. I’m a photographer, so I shoot the festival, but I also like to go to the movies.
Alissa Anderson, 32, theater producer, New York
Shakespeare in the Park, the theater season in the park.
Judith Rubenstein, 64, art student, Lower East Side
I’m not going to be here all summer, so I’m going to miss everything anyway. I guess Easter music in churches.
Camille Yard, 22, student, Brooklyn
I don’t want to miss the beach parties. That’s what I don’t want to miss. I know there’s one on Reeves Beach.
Lester Kim, 23, recent graduate and actor, moving to New York soon
I just heard about something today—Sleep No More. It’s in the Chelsea area. It’s like a very interactive theater, which I like because I’ve done some acting, too. I always like it when I go to theater venues and they try new things, where it’s not an audience sitting down and there’s a stage, [but] the audience gets to participate. It’s loosely based on “Hamlet,” Shakespeare.
Carla Barry-Austin, 31, director of marketing communications, New Jersey
The High Line, going to the High Line. It’s the one thing I really want to do, because I didn’t get to do it [yet].
