Nijaey Hilton, a five-year-old Manhattan resident who went missing, was found safe near the Apollo Theater.
Hilton was taken to the hospital as a precaution even though there were no visible signs of trauma.
Police said in an alert after Hilton went missing that she was kidnapped by her uncle, 29-year-old Romel Robinson, who has a history of mental problems.
Robinson came to the family’s apartment and said that he and Nijaey were going to listen to music in his car, but he never brought her back.
Nijaey’s mother told Pix11 that Robinson hung up when she called him. When she texted him about it, he replied “lol.”
