New Zealand continued their domination of the HSBC Sevens World Cup with another impressive display in the last of the Sevens 2014 series in London on Sunday May 11.
Although beaten by England in their Pool-A match they beat South Africa 32-5 in the Cup Quarter Final, then narrowly beat Fiji 12-10 to move into the Final.
The other finalist Australia, after heading Pool-C, beat Kenya 12-5 in the Cup Quarter Final, then overcame England in the Semi-final 15-12 to set up an all Antipodean final.
New Zealand beat Australia the Final 52-33, England took 3rd place by defeating Fiji 26-19 and South Africa beat Kenya 38-14 in the Plate Final.
The final standings in the 2014 competition are New Zealand first on 180 points, South Africa retained the second spot on 152 points, Fiji finished 3rd on 144, England took 4th place with 134 and Australia finished 5th on 116 points.
Bottom placed team Zimbabwe will be relegated to make way for Japan in the 2015 Series.
